The Curriculum

What children learn — and how.

A structured Kriah program, hands-on math, Parshas Hashavua, davening, and an interactive science program — all taught in a warm, Chassidishe environment.

קְרִיאָה

Kriah

A structured reading program that builds strong Hebrew reading skills step by step — from letter recognition to fluency.

חֶשְׁבּוֹן

Math

A hands-on math curriculum focused on number sense, patterns, and early problem-solving with concrete materials.

פָּרָשָׁה

Parsha & Yomim Tovim

Engaging lessons that bring the weekly parsha and the Yomim Tovim alive in a way young children can hold onto.

Classroom Environment

Organized, calm, and age-appropriate.

The classroom is designed to feel prepared and uncluttered. Materials are deliberate. Expectations match where children actually are at this age.

  • Organized and prepared each morning
  • Calm and predictably structured
  • Materials and expectations matched to the age
  • Clear direction, paired with space to develop confidence and independence
Learning Focus

A strong, balanced foundation for the years ahead.

At this stage we emphasize

  • Foundational לימודי קודש
  • Listening and participation skills
  • Positive learning habits
  • Middos and appropriate behavior
  • A balance of structured learning and play

Language development

At the Pre-1A stage, the program focuses on building strong foundational skills within the core curriculum.

English language instruction is not part of the Pre-1A classroom this year, and will be introduced at a later stage in a structured and appropriate way, based on guidance from experienced educators.

Location & Logistics

Built around a steady, safe daily routine.

The program is planned to begin in a newly prepared modular classroom. If needed, a temporary location at Chabad of Central Broward (a two-minute drive) will be used until the classroom is ready.

  • Supervised drop-off and pickup
  • Organized carpool system, in conjunction with the preschool line
  • Dedicated security presence during school hours
  • Secure, monitored environment throughout the day

Meals. Meals are provided through the existing licensed preschool food program. Parents complete a separate food form covering financial eligibility and allergy information.
